If you haven’t stayed in serviced accommodation before, it sits somewhere between a hotel and a rented home, and packing for it is a little different to both.
Start with what’s already covered. Every N&N Stays property comes with fresh linen and towels, a fully equipped kitchen with cookware and crockery, a washing machine, and basic cleaning supplies. You genuinely don’t need to bring bedding, towels, or kitchen equipment — it’s all there, inspected and ready before you arrive.
What’s worth bringing is anything specific to how you actually live day to day. If you’ve got particular toiletries or a coffee setup you’re attached to, bring it — we stock the basics but don’t try to guess everyone’s preferences. If you’re planning to cook properly rather than eat out, a shopping list for your first day covers the gap between “equipped kitchen” and “stocked fridge,” since we don’t pre-fill kitchens with groceries.
For UK weather specifically, layers matter more than heavy single items — a light waterproof and a warm mid-layer will get you through more unpredictable days than one thick coat, particularly if you’re moving between city exploring and countryside day trips.
If you’re staying for work, bring more than a weekend’s worth of work clothes if the placement is longer than a few days — laundry is available, but you’ll want a buffer rather than washing every single night.
And if you’re driving over, check the parking situation on your specific property page in advance — most homes offer free or private parking, but it’s worth confirming before you arrive rather than after.
Browse our properties to see exactly what’s included at your chosen home, or get in touch if you’ve got specific questions before you book.
